Converting MP3 training webinars to listen on the move
If you are at all serious about Internet Marketing and making money online you will be invited to attend many online webinars.
Like all online training material the value of webinars range from little more than hyped up sales pitches to genuine attampts at providing valuable training for free in the hope that it will build trust so you sign up to their list, read emails tey send you and eventually buy something.
Streamed webinar information is transient – if you blink, or go for a comfort or coffee break, you could easily miss something important. That’s why it’s a good idea to record them.
You can then skip the fluff and concentrate on an real value.
If you’re anything like me, there just aren’t enough hours in each day to do all the things I would like.
So converting the files to audio for use on an iPod – to listen in the gym, out walking, in the car or on a bus or train is a great way to learn and avoid wasting otherwise ‘dead time’.
Very quickly your MP3 player is likely to get filled unless you do something to reduce audio file sizes.
And I have found a great free piece of software that lets you do just that: mp3 Quality Modifier
Simply choose a lower audio quality, and maybe even mono, rather than stereo to cut the size of any MP3 audio file to a fraction of it’s original size.
Here’s how I prepare my audio files from any webinar:
- Record the webinar using the ZDSoft Screen Recorder (sorry they have a free trial but it’s not free)
- Convert the recorded webinar video AVI file into an audio MP3 file using the free version of AoA Audio Extractor
- Reduce the size of the audio file using the free mp3 Quality Modifier
Then copy the final small audio file onto your MP3 player
